Submission Guidelines

Muzzle Magazine publishes poetry, interviews, and book reviews. We are actively seeking submissions in poetry and are also open to queries about reviews and interviews. Only previously unpublished work will be considered for publication. Simultaneous submissions are fine, but please let us know immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. You can withdraw individual poems by making a note within the submission itself.

Ends on December 1, 2017
Please send 3-5 poems at a time. Include all poems in one DOC or PDF file. Make sure that your name does not appear anywhere in the attached document or in your submission title; our editors like to view submissions blindly. Not following these guidelines may result in your submission being automatically rejected.

Only previously unpublished work will be considered for publication. Simultaneous submissions are fine, but please let us know immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere. You can let us know about partial withdrawals by adding a note to the submission.

If you would like our book review staff to consider reviewing your poetry book, please attach either a PDF of the full book or a sample selection from it. If our editors are interested in reviewing the book, we will query you (or your publisher) and request a hard copy of the book.

Requirements: your book must be composed primarily of poetry (hybrid texts are okay), published within the last two years, and written in (or translated into) the English language. We are unable to consider self-published titles.
